Spain-to-Morocco Travels in Moorish Andalucia Spain: Malaga, Ronda,
Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, and Algeciras. Cross the Straits of
Gibraltar to Morocco meeting your Berber driver/guide in the port in
Tangier where you travel to Fes, and on Ecotourism Travels to the
Sahara Desert in Morocco-Camel Excursions beneath the stars. Travel
through Berber villages, Mid Atlas and Rif Mountains to Roman ruins,
Atlantic coastal beaches.

Day 1: MALAGA, SPAIN
| |
Transfer from airport in Malaga, Spain to your 4* hotel on Costa del
Sol, Malaga. Depending on time of arrival, optional tours can be
arranged in Malaga. Breakfast only is provided as you take daily
excursions to various cities using this hotel as your base. |

Day 2: RONDA, SPAIN
| |
The bus picks you up from your hotel with an English-speaking guide
provided. Journey along the Costa del Sol and drive through the
magnificent Ronda mountain range. Upon arrival in Ronda, The
sightseeing tour of this old Celtic-origin town includes the
cathedral (Roman, Arabic and Gothic styles), the old town, the
oldest bullring in Spain and the Tajo Gorge (660 feet deep).
Optional lunch in a typical restaurant, free time and return to
Costal del Sol to your hotel. |

Day 3: GRANADA, SPAIN
| |
The bus picks you up from your hotel with an English-speaking guide
provided and takes you on the Costa del Sol, Spain to Granada. Drive
towards to the Sierra Nevada Mountains to Granada with the Alhambra,
the famous fortress and supreme monument of Arab architecture being
the highlight of this tour. Also visit the Charles V Palace and the
beautiful Generalife gardens with views of the city and the Moorish
District Albaicin. Optional lunch, free time and return to your
hotel on the Costa del Sol. |

Day 4: SEVILLA, SPAIN

The bus picks you up from your hotel with an English-speaking guide
provided and takes you on the Costa del Sol, Spain to Sevilla. Upon
arrival in Sevilla, a full panoramic sightseeing tour of the city
includes the Santa Cruz District, Expo area and a guided visit to
the cathedral. Optional lunch, free time and return to Costal del
Sol to your hotel. |

Day 5: CORDOBA, SPAIN
| |
The bus picks you up from your hotel with an English-speaking guide
provided. Upon arrival in Córdoba, a local guide takes you across
its historical center known all across the world for its Arab and
Jewish monuments, such as the mosque, the Jewish district, the
synagogue, and the Roman bridge. Optional lunch in a typical
restaurant is followed by a sightseeing tour of the typical “Patios”
and gardens of Córdoba. Return to your hotel on the Costal del Sol. |

Day 6: MALAGA, SPAIN to FEZ, MOROCCO
| |
Travel to Algeciras to take ferry across the Straits of Gibraltar to
Tangier, Morocco. Here you are met by your Berber driver/guide in
the port after you go through customs and travel to Fes, the oldest
Imperial City in Morocco. We prefer to use ryads- restored palaces-
with their uniqueness and hospitality rather than hotels. There is a
special Fassi folklore show with dinner where you meet your guide
for the next day. |

Day 7: FEZ, MOROCCO
| |
The most Imperial City of them all. Visit the largest souk in
Morocco and in Africa. Your local guide will help you visit all the
palaces and special places here in Fes plus any place you are
interested in. Then the souks in the living medina where the skills
craftsmen are at work. Fes was the spiritual and cultural center of
Morocco and has multiple facets to explore. Dinner at nice
restaurant in New town. |

Day 8: FEZ to MERZOUGA,, MOROCCO
| |
Travel through Mid Atlas Mountains with changing landscape toward
the desert. Stop by to see Barbary apes in their natural environment
in the Cedar forest by Azrou. As you travel south, pass through the
Valley of Ziz with miles of palm trees and Morocco's Grand Canyon.
After Erfoud and Rissani, head out to the Erg Chebbie Sand Dunes and
Merzouga for the sunset. Sleep at HAVEN LA CHANCE DESERT HOTEL, the
home base for Blue Men of Morocco Co in Morocco. Option to sleep
under the stars or in Bivouac tents depending on the weather. All
meals included in the desert. |

Day 9: MERZOUGA, MOROCCO
| |
Walk in the sand dunes, visit local village and lunch with our
Berber family and friends. Visit our neighbor’s local Berber
cooperative where Berber carpets and jewelry are available for good
prices ( We encourage shopping here to help our local economy)
before taking your overnight camel excursion deep in the sand dunes.
You see the sunset and sunrise with the sun's rays bouncing off the
sand crests and sleep under the stars. |

Day 10: MERZOUGA to AZROU, MOROCCO
| |
MOROCCO Retracing our trip north to the Mid Atlas to Azrou, a Berber
mountain village located by a cedar forest with apes. Visit local
shops. 3* Hotel with Dinner.

Day 11: AZROU to ASILAH, MOROCCO
| |
As you travel to the coastal town of Asilah, visit Volubilis, Roman
ruins from 100 A.C. when it was the capital of MAURETANIA TINGITANA.
At Asilah, stroll along the quiet and immense sandy beach and visit
the kasbah and medina before dining at one of several seafood
restaurants. We prefer a moderate 3* hotel here rather than Tangier.

Day 12: ASILAH, MOROCCO to ALGECIRAS, SPAIN
| |
A short drive to Tangier along the coast. Stop at Hercules Caves en
route. Your driver helps you with ferry tickets for your return to
Algeciras, Spain. |

IMPORTANT DETAILS

In Spain, daily excursions originate from your hotel. There is an
English-speaking guide with local English-speaking guides at the
monuments in each city. Lunch and Dinner are not included. Hotel
prices are low-season and are subject to change.
In Morocco, we prefer using ryads that are restored places in Fes
and 3* hotels in Asilah and Azrou. Included in the desert are Desert
hotel rooms or Bivouac nomad tents, all meals, and overnight Camel
Excursion; special Folklore dinner show in Fes, official guide,
entrance fees, ferry tickets. Continental or Buffet Breakfasts and 5
Dinners. Transportation is a new comfortable 4 x 4 or SUV vehicle
with an English-speaking driver who is your overall guide throughout
the trip. He meets you at the port in Tangier and helps you with
your return from Tangier to Spain. Not included are tips, alcoholic
drinks or travel insurance that is required. |
